Privacy Policy

Tradeable is a digital educational platform for financial-markets and technical-analysis education. We are the data controller responsible for the personal information processed through the Service. This Policy applies to information we collect through the Service and through communications with us. It does not apply to third-party websites or services we do not control.

We collect only the information needed to operate the Service. Specifically:

2.1 Account information

When you register, we collect your username, email address, your date of birth (used solely to confirm that you are 18 or older, as our Terms require — never for advertising or profiling), and a password (which we store only as a salted cryptographic hash — we never store your password in plain text). We also store your plan tier and its lifecycle dates, your email-verification status and temporary one-time verification codes, the date you accepted our Terms, and account status flags. For account security, we additionally store, if you enable two-factor authentication, the secret that generates your codes and hashed one-time backup codes; and a random device-recognition cookie whose only purpose is to email you an alert when your account signs in from a browser we have not seen it use before. This cookie is a random number: it identifies the browser to us and contains no personal data.

2.2 Payment information

For paid plans we create an order record containing the plan, billing cycle, amount, payment status, and the payment provider's reference for the transaction — for a crypto payment, the platform's invoice reference and the transaction ID (hash); for a card or PayPal payment, the provider's transaction identifier. Payments are made through third-party payment providers: PayPal for card and PayPal-balance payments, and a cryptocurrency payment platform for USDT payments. The transaction itself happens on those platforms (and, for crypto, on the blockchain), under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not collect or store card numbers or banking credentials on our servers — we only receive confirmation of the payment and its reference data. Where you pay by card or PayPal, the data you enter on the provider's page (card details, PayPal account) is handled directly by that provider under its own privacy terms and is never stored by us; the provider does share with us the email address and name associated with the payment, so that we can match the payment to your order.

2.3 Content and self-logged data you provide

• Uploaded images (e.g., chart screenshots you submit for AI analysis).
• Forum posts and comments, and reactions.
• Reviews / testimonials you choose to submit (which, with your consent, may be displayed publicly — see Section 7).
• Pre-Flight checklists and self-logged trade details (such as instrument, direction, dates, prices, and notes) that you enter yourself.
• Messages you send us via the contact form (name, email, category, and your message).

2.4 Activity & gamification data

To operate engagement features we store your quiz/challenge progress, experience points (XP), rank, badges, streaks, daily-challenge state, and any promotional codes issued to you, together with an append-only log of these reward events for accuracy and anti-abuse purposes.

2.5 Information we do not collect

We use the information described above to:

• Create and maintain your account and authenticate your logins;
• Provide the educational tools and features of your plan, including AI analysis, quizzes, the Daily Challenge, Pre-Flight, the forum, and gamification;
• Verify your email and send essential service emails (verification codes, password resets, and responses to your support requests);
• Process and activate your subscription and keep billing/plan records;
• Operate and secure reward features and prevent fraud, cheating, and abuse;
• Moderate community content and enforce our Terms;
• Maintain operational and security logs of sensitive events (such as payments and email delivery); and
• Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Where applicable law (such as the EU/UK GDPR) requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you sign up for); legitimate interests (to secure the Service, prevent abuse, and improve our features, balanced against your rights); consent (for example, to publish a testimonial you submit, which you may withdraw); and compliance with legal obligations.

When you use AI-assisted features (such as chart-screenshot analysis or community moderation), the image or text you submit is transmitted to a third-party AI processing provider that generates the analysis or moderation result on our behalf. That content is processed to return a result to you and is subject to the provider's own data-handling terms.

We use a minimal set of strictly necessary cookies and browser storage — we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies:

• Session cookie: a signed cookie that keeps you logged in during your visit.
• "Remember this device" cookie: an optional signed cookie that keeps you logged in across visits if you choose it.
• Local storage: small preferences kept in your own browser, such as your theme (light/dark), language, accumulated in-app usage time, and locally saved boards. This data stays on your device.

You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings; doing so may log you out and reset local preferences.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Service, with the categories of providers below, each acting under appropriate confidentiality and data-processing obligations:

Public content: forum posts, comments, and any testimonial you submit with consent to publish are visible to other users or the public, along with the username (or display name) and rank shown with them. Do not post anything you wish to keep private.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, to protect the rights, safety, or property of Tradeable or others, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition).

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. We keep certain records (such as billing/order records and security or audit logs) for longer where necessary to comply with legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for the establishment or defense of legal claims. Public content you posted may remain visible unless you remove it or request its removal.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including hashing of passwords, cryptographically signed authentication cookies, transport encryption (HTTPS), access controls, and operational logging of sensitive events. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for notifying us of any suspected unauthorized access.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent (for example, for a published testimonial); and to request a portable copy of the information you provided. Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

California residents: we do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 15. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.

Tradeable is operated from, and relies on service providers located in, various countries, which may include the United States, the European Union, and others. If you access the Service from outside those locations, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from those of your country. Where required, we take steps to ensure such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.

The Service is intended solely for users who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or an in-platform notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
